A Lesson from 2020: We Must Slow Down
2020 taught us a lot this year, mainly that “slowing down” is not a luxury, but a requirement for our mental health and wellness. Our society can no longer operate at warp speed. There is too much at stake to ignore this challenge.
“Our love of speed has turned into an addiction.” We need to stop overreacting, being quick to anger, and slow to empathy if we want to help build a brighter tomorrow.
Giving yourself permission to go slow, to be more present, is no longer something we should do, it is something we MUST do.
